Meet the Newest Tudor Black Bay Heritage Steel Watch
This year, Tudor celebrates 60 years of diver's watches, and with that the brand unveils the new Heritage Black Bay diver in stainless steel. Powered by the Manufacture Caliber MT5612, this watch marks the first time that a date function has been added to the Tudor Black Bay family.
The 41mm case of the watch is built in stainless steel, and the rotating bezel is machined from steel and then given a circular matte-brushed finish. The bezel features a red triangle, as does the winding crown. In addition to a domed dial, the watch is fitted with angular snowflake hands, typical of the watches of the 1970s.
The movement offers 70 hours of power reserve and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). ... [Read More]

A Look at the Stricter 2017 Guidelines on ‘Swiss Made’ Watches
The Swiss Federal Council recently approved a partial revision of its "Swiss made" ordinance for watches, effective as of January 1, 2017. The revision strengthens the label requirements for watches and movements and aligns them more with the new "Swissness" legislation that has been updated since its 2013 adoption by the Swiss Parliament.
Any watch bearing the indication "Swiss" or "Swiss made" must be backed by Swiss watchmaking expertise. According to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, a number of studies have shown that consumers are willing to pay up to 20% more for Swiss watches, in general, and up to 50% more for certain mechanical watches.
